The Photography Activity Group is open to Newcomers and Newcomers Alumni. Our group includes photographers with all levels of experience, using all kinds of cameras. (Even if you DON'T currently have a camera, you can join us to find out more about what kind you might want to get!)
The group's mission is:
- To enjoy the companionship of others who enjoy photography.
- To join in interesting opportunities to practice taking pictures.
- To learn or develop photography and photo editing skills.
- To explore the appreciation of photographic art, through group sharing and field trips.
- To support the Newcomers Club of New Bern by assisting with visual documentation of its activities.
All participants are invited to share their ideas for get-togethers and projects throughout the Newcomers season. While the group coordinator is responsible for proposing activities month to month, at any time feel free to invite others to go along on a photo shoot or join you at a photography event. The point is to get to know people who enjoy photography as much as you do!
This group will need a coordinator--or co-coordinators--starting next fall. Please speak up if you're interested!
